Radixact®
Radixact® is a cutting-edge radiation therapy designed to treat a wide variety of cancers with remarkable precision.
This advanced treatment uses TomoTherapy® technology, which combines CT imaging to create detailed, 3D images of your tumor. These images allow us to focus the radiation exactly where it’s needed, minimizing the impact on surrounding healthy tissue. Radixact® works from all directions, ensuring that tumors are treated more effectively from multiple angles.
Xoft®
Xoft® radiation therapy is an advanced form of radiotherapy that utilizes a tiny X-ray source, which can fit into the fingertip, enabling Cochise Oncology’s physicians and doctors to deliver treatments with confidence and precision. The Xoft® machine is portable while offering a faster option that is clinically proven to be safe and effective, making it particularly ideal for treating anatomically challenging locations.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is a range of chemical treatments that are designed to combat the growth and spread of cancer. With over 100 different chemotherapy treatments available on the modern market, all of which are designed to work with different types of cancer. This sort of treatment can come in the form of a pill or a liquid drip.
Immunotherapy
Cancer immunotherapy often referred to as immuno-oncology, is a treatment that aims to help the body prevent, control, and eradicate cancer by giving the immune system a much-needed boost before or during cancer treatments. Immunotherapy achieves this by either stimulating the body’s natural defense systems until they work harder or by producing substances that mimic the natural immune system to support it.
Infusion Services
Infusion therapy is the general term for the administration of medication through a catheter or needle. Though these services are most commonly delivered intravenously, infusion therapy can also include intramuscular injections or epidural routes. Cochise Oncology is pleased to accommodate the community’s need for an infusion center. We have delivered IV chemotherapy and IV infusions for hematological problems for our own patients for years, and now provide infusions services for patients of other physicians in the community. These services are similar to those provided by the hospital in the past.
Hematology
A Hematologist is the internal medicine specialist who most commonly treats disorders of the blood and lymphatic system. Cochise Oncology’s Hematologist, Dr. Stephen Goldfarb, will work in tandem with your whole care team to build the best course of treatment for your specific condition.
Skin Screenings
Your skin is changing all the time, with new cells in a constant fight to replace the old, and the environment you call home putting it through its paces. While blemishes and bumps can commonly appear on the skin without worry, some can be a sign of a deeper concern. This is where skin screenings come in.
Skin Biopsies
A skin biopsy is a series of tests that will be performed on a sample of your skin to determine whether or not you have any medical conditions affecting it. The process is simple, fast, and effective, giving patients answers within a couple of weeks, and often putting their minds at rest about the state of their skin.
